The Three-Pyramid-Problem

Why did Sneferu construct three enormous pyramids without a sarcophagus?

The pyramid of Meidum and the Red & Bent pyramids of Dahshur are the earliest smooth sided pyramids to be built. They are also among the largest and best preserved pyramids of ancient Egypt, yet none of them has been found with a stone sarcophagus inside.

Traditional stories claim Sneferu was continually seeking a more perfect monument to be buried within, and that construction flaws are to be blamed for making three pyramids.

But does this story align with the physical evidence at each pyramid, and what might all the pyramids have in commmon that reveals a solution to the three-pyramid problem?

This video looks at the actions of the ancient Egyptians to break the spell of conventional wisdom and finally align the physical evidence to a probably solution.
