When we picked Baku, Azerbaijan for our next trip we didn’t expect it to be this amazing. Baku is a modern, beautiful and spacious city located on the Caspian Sea. It’s filled with mountains, deserts and natural beauty.

The people of Baku are modern and hospitable. Although the majority of the people are Muslims, the country has a secular constitution, giving all religions equal treatment.

Although Azerbaijan’s economy is primarily fuel based, they are now diversifying into new sectors and paying special attention to tourism now.

You will find many hotels, restaurants and spots that are created to cater to the tourists. Although the majority of the people don’t speak English most people in the hospitality industry do.

This is the first in the series of our Azerbaijan videos. In this video let’s take a tour of the Baku city and see some of the interesting places around.

We spent 10 days in Baku and explored it quite a bit, so don’t worry, we’ll bring you a lot of in-depth videos showing you how life in Azerbaijan and Baku really is.
