Bhutan The Happiest Country in the World! | Paro, Thimphu…
I’m so grateful to have crossed Bhutan off of my bucket list.
Flying to Bhutan, from Nepal, it was only an hour flight and it cost $600. Not cheap, but worth it! You can only fly to Bhutan from Nepal, India, Thailand, Singapore, and Bangladesh. And, you need to book with a tour guide; you cannot walk around freely on your own.
I booked with Luxury Holidays, because they were the cheapest company I could find. It cost $800 per person for 2 days Not cheap, but it was all-inclusive. The guide was really friendly and knowledgeable about the country, and I recommend booking with them if you plan on coming here.

We spent our first day in the capital, Thimphu. There’s a lot of construction happening in Thimphu, so I can only imagine how it’s going to look in 5 years.
It was fairly quiet in Thimphu, and not much going on. If I had stayed longer than 2 days, I would have loved to go to a bar or bowling alley, just to be amongst the locals while they’re in their comfort zone.
We went to Paro the second day; where Tiger’s Nest is located. This is a cute little city with a lot of history. Tiger’s Nest was the highlight of this trip, and the kid inside of me was ecstatic to finally see it in person.
Leave a comment letting me know what you think of Bhutan. Would you go? Is there something else you would have wanted to see? Let’s chat!
