As I was going to Chapada dos Veadeiros, in Goiás, Brasilia was the nearest city that serves as the basis to know the place, so I took the opportunity to make this script of a day for Brasilia and visit the main sights of the capital of Brazil.
Our first stop was at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Brasilia, which is there on the Monumental Axis, close to virtually every tourist attractions of the city. The cathedral is beautiful and if you want, you can still visit and know the interior of this beautiful church, created in 1970 and designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Even right there is the Esplanade of Ministries, where you can see all those buildings we always watch in TV newspapers, where each building represents a specific ministry.
From there, we went to jump the TV tower of Brasilia, which is 224 meters high and is right there in the same “street” of the main tourist attractions. The entrance to climb the tower is made of elevator and is free, that is, you can have a beautiful view of the city and do not need to pay for it. Continuing our visits, the next stop was at the National Congress, where the House of Representatives is and also the senators.
And if you want to schedule a visit to get to know everything inside, just go to the official website and make your free schedule. For those who have more time for Brasilia and want to learn a little more of our history, is the tip. And look how cool: all this the beetle is doing is called civic tourism, that is, a category of tourism where you know a little more political history and history. But let’s continue our script? We arrived in the 3rd Powers Square, where are the headquarters of the Executive Power (where the President of the Republic is), the Legislature (place where the House of Representatives and Senate) and the headquarters of the STF (Supreme Court).
Now going to Asa Sul, we got to know the church of Our Lady of Fatima, work of Oscar Niemwyer, and built in just 100 days. And that’s where that super famous wall is with the blue tiles of the famous artist Athos Bulcão. Now boraaaa talk about food: eating a Don Bosco pizza, which is made in the bread dough and you need to try it. She is very close to the church and I was on foot. And to close our day, I went to know the famous border of the Paranoá River, where you can do various activities such as boat rides, stand up paddle, and of course, enjoy an incredible sunset, considered one of the most beautiful in Brazil.
And all this for free. And so we ended an amazing day of script there. Remembering that everything is a little away in Brasilia that is, you will need a car, the taxi to move to the tourist attractions. Another detail: drink plenty of water, pass sunscreen and hydrate, because Brasilia doesn’t have so many shadows and the climate is very dry.
