Cameroon welcomed us with chaos, beauty, and moments that left us speechless. The adventure kicked off even before we reached Idenau, where crossing the border by boat turned into a long game of patience and negotiations. Once through, we were finally on Cameroonian soil—ready for what lay ahead.
Our first stop was Limbe, a coastal town known for its striking black sand beaches and laid-back vibe. At Limbe Wildlife Sanctuary, we got up close with rescued primates, learning about the incredible conservation efforts protecting Cameroon’s wildlife.
From the coast, we made our way to Buea, nestled at the foot of Mount Cameroon. Despite being covered in clouds, we still enjoyed our time and views here.
Then came Douala, Cameroon’s economic powerhouse. The city’s streets were alive—markets buzzing, traffic chaotic, and sometimes almost too overwhelming. Douala was a sensory overload.
From border struggles to city adventures, this journey through Cameroon was an unforgettable mix of challenges and incredible discoveries.
