Inside El Salvador’s Most Dangerous Neighborhood

Today I take you deep into one of the most feared neighborhoods in El Salvador — Apopa. Locals and online forums call it the most dangerous place in the country. But what I found might surprise you.

I walked through the Apopa Municipal Market, tried fresh homemade pupusas (El Salvador’s national dish), and even met a local who played guitar and sang for me right in the middle of the chaos.

Was it sketchy? Sure.
Was it beautiful? Also yes.

In a country still shaking off the scars of gang violence, places like Apopa hold stories the news never tells.

Is Apopa still dangerous? Or are things changing?

Watch and decide for yourself.
