Take a boat tour of Las Isletas, a group of over 300 small islands in Lake Nicaragua, just a short boat ride from the city. Formed by volcanic activity, these islands are home to a variety of wildlife, including birds and monkeys. It’s a peaceful spot for kayaking or simply cruising among the lush, green islets.
For history lovers, explore the Convento de San Francisco, one of the city’s most important cultural landmarks.
