We continue our El Salvador adventures further down the Ruta de las Flores and all the way to the stunning city of Santa Ana. Our final stop on the Ruta de las Flores is the charming town of Concepcion de Ataco, whose cobbled streets are lined with colorful murals, outdoor cafes, and vibrant markets. It’s the perfect place to close out our time along the Ruta de las Flores before continuing onwards to Santa Ana.

We settle into the city filled with historic colonial architecture and some of the most magnificent buildings in the country, such as the Santa Ana Cathedral. We backtrack a little bit to the town of Atiquizaya to visit the thermal waterfalls of Salto de Malacatiupan. It’s almost like a natural spa, and we spend several hours before heading back to Santa Ana and spend some time with our host family, reflecting together on El Salvador and its transformation.
