Traveling El Salvador: Route de las Flores | Most Beautiful R …
Continuing the El Salvador travel diaries by heading to one of the most beautiful regions of the country. Traveling along the Ruta de las Flores just ticked all the boxes for me. No shortage of beautiful views, convenient public transportation, a great food scene, and the unbeatable vibes of small town Latin America.
The Ruta de las Flores is a series of villages in between the larger cities of Sonsonate and Ahuachapan. These towns are Nahuizalco, Salcoatitan, Juayua, Apaneca, and Ataco. Each is special for its own reason and I’d recommend visiting all of them.

For now, we’re just covering our first three days along the Ruta de las Flores. We stayed in the town of Juayua, took a couple of day trips to the other villages, and then took on the incredible Seven Waterfalls (Siete Cascadas) Trek nearby. An amazing first few days here. El Salvador is so full of surprises.
