We continue our overland adventure through West Africa. The time has come to make the infamous overland crossing of Nigeria and Cameroon in our 1997 Land Rover Defender 110 300TDi.
In this cinematic adventure film we have to dig deep to persevere through the toughest challenges we’ve yet faced. The worst mechanical issue we’ve had, driving through conflict zones and having to find our way through what the wet season could throw at us… all whilst we were hampered by being in 2WD drive. That’s right, we had a Land Rover Defender that wasn’t 4×4!!! From Nigeria to Cameroon we visit incredible sights of these countries that many tourists and travellers have never heard of – Idanre, Okumu National Park, Afi Mountain Ranch, Mount Cameroon, Chutes de Lobé and many more. We see a side of these countries that isn’t often told on the global news and it makes a lasting impact. And through it all we search for a perfect shot to reflect our time in these unique West African countries.
This is an overland journey like no other – it isn’t just about the drive, but about realising our dream of being in Africa and completing our journey from Morocco to South Africa. From landscape photography, drone photography and a whole host of culture & portrait photography, we discover the incredible countries of Nigeria and Cameroon.
