They Said El Salvador Wasn’t Safe for Black Travelers… I Fou…

“Is El Salvador safe for Black travelers?”
That’s the question I kept hearing — online, in DMs, even from family.

So I booked a flight. Packed my bags. And went to find the truth for myself.

What I discovered? It’s not what the media told us.

This video documents my raw, unfiltered experience as a Black traveler walking the streets of El Salvador — from the food spots and coastal towns to the cultural heart of the people. No tourist filters. No fear-based headlines. Just the truth from the ground.

If you’ve ever been curious about visiting Central America as a person of color, or just want to see what it’s really like outside the resorts — this video is for you.

In this video:
– Intro: What I was told before arriving
– First reactions in San Salvador
– Meeting locals & sharing stories
– My honest take: Safe or not?
