Preoccupied with her obligations as an assistant principal and caretaker to her ailing grandmother, Latarsha neglected her own health. Consumed by the death of her grandmother and separation from her husband, Latarsha slipped into depression and could only take minimal steps to improve her health after a stroke. After a second stroke in 2016, Latarsha adopted a more active lifestyle and has taken charge of her health. Latarsha encourages everyone to prioritize their health and to consult a healthcare provider at the first sign of illness.
