New Fellows and Members of the Johanna Quandt Young Academy were honored on April 23, 2021. This year, the academy welcomed Sebastian Biba (Political Science), Tomás Cano (Sociology), Rikki Dean (Political Science), Susanne Fehlings (Ethnology), Philipp Dominik Keidl (Film and Media Studies), Magnus Ressel (History), Marco Tamborini (TU Darmstadt, History and Philosophy of Science) and Cornelia Pokalyuk (Mathematics). Prof. Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard (Biology), Prof. Hartmut Rosa (Sociology) and Prof. Eleonore Stump (Philosophy) has been recruited as Distinguished Senior Scientists for the period 2021-2024. The Johanna Quandt Young Academy is a university platform for scientists from Goethe University and partner institutions in the early qualification phase (R2 and R3). The academy aims at both: to provide financial support to young scientists according to their needs and to allow them to live out their scientific freedom and creativity in an interdisciplinary exchange.
