I Took a 15-hour Road Trip Through Taliban Ruled Afghanistan…

Afghanistan has been on my bucket list for a long time and I finally got the chance to visit. I spent 8 intense days in this incredible country, learning about its history, culture, people and food.

I left Bamyan on what was supposed to be a 12 hour drive to Mazar-i-Sharif, this drive would take us through the heart of Taliban ruled Afghanistan over the Hindu Kush Mountains, the Salang tunnel, ancient cities and small mud villages. The drive ended up being 15 hours but this turned out to be the road trip of a lifetime.
