Urologic, Neurologic, & Psychosocial Considerations
Challenges with sexuality are common for people with PD, yet many are hesitant to bring it up.

The program offered virtual lectures for health care providers about the urologic, neurologic, and psychosocial considerations of sexuality for people living with Parkinson’s disease (PD). APDA’s Chief Mission Officer, Dr. Rebecca Gilbert was one of the featured presenters (jump to 38:59 in the recording for her presentation).

APDA’s ParkinSex kit contains items to help build or maintain intimacy and connection for couples living with Parkinson’s disease. The kit is accompanied by a helpful guidebook that explains how to put the items into practice.
