Japan to S. Korea all on Points! | Free Flights & Hotel – T…
It’s travel day! After a peaceful stretch in the quiet beach town of Zushi, Japan, it’s time for us to pack up and begin our next adventure—heading to Seoul, South Korea! But before we take to the skies, we’ve got one last Japanese hotel stay that’s well worth the stop.
We leave Zushi behind and make our way to Tokyo/Narita, where we check into the ANA Crowne Plaza Narita, a hotel stay we booked entirely with points using our IHG credit card (gotta love those travel perks!). If you’re looking for a place to relax before a long international flight, this is a great option—we were honestly impressed!
Our room was spacious, featured a king-sized bed (finally, no single beds!), and came with a fully loaded Japanese toilet—heated seat, built-in bidet, the works. But as much as we loved the room, the real star of the night was the buffet dinner downstairs.
Let us just say: wow. This wasn’t your average hotel buffet. There was a huge spread of Japanese and Western dishes—fresh sushi, carved meats, grilled fish, steamed veggies, soba noodles, desserts galore. Everything was beautifully presented and surprisingly high quality. And yes, we went back for seconds…and then desserts.
With full bellies and our bags repacked, we turned in for the night to get ready for an early start. The next morning, we caught the free hotel shuttle to Tokyo Narita Airport, which saved us time, stress, and a bit of cash. #budgettravelers
Asiana Airlines was our carrier of choice for this leg of the trip—and of course, nothing ever goes perfectly on travel day. We found ourselves a bit tight on time (as always), but managed to hustle through security and make our flight to Seoul, Korea. The boarding gate was closing just as we arrived, but hey—no adventure is complete without a little sprinting through the airport, right?
The Asiana flight was super comfy and the meal service was great! We got a hot rice dish with some sides. We’re not sure what the yellow cup was, so if you know please tell us! Then, Touchdown in South Korea! But the journey doesn’t end at Incheon Airport.
From there, we had to catch a bus for about an hour to get closer to our hotel. The good news? Korean airport buses are next-level comfortable. Plush reclining seats, tons of legroom, and even some peaceful K-pop to lull you into a semi-jetlagged nap. Honestly, we wish more buses were like this!
Once off the bus, we hopped on a local train using our T-money cards (super easy and convenient—highly recommend grabbing one if you’re visiting Korea). One smooth ride later, we finally arrived at our destination: the Hilton Hotel, ready to settle into our next home base and start exploring Seoul.
This travel day had it all—coastal goodbyes, a luxury layover stay, an amazing buffet dinner, a last-minute airport dash, and a cross-country journey by bus and train. Travel days can be exhausting, but they’re also some of the most rewarding—especially when you get to experience three completely different places in under 24 hours.

We have been working and traveling the world together since 2016. We have decided to “risk it all”! We quit our jobs, sold our cas and are hoping to ‘live like locals’ as vagabonds traveling the world. To record and share our experiences with family & friends we are creating these short videos from our travels. We hope you enjoy!
